Make sure that you don't let your other health care slide because you are so focused on the pregnancy. Routine visits to your dentist, dermatologist, psychiatrist, or any other provider you see are important to your overall well-being.

Dental issues, such as gum tenderness, sensitivity, and infection, are a common pregnancy problem. Dentist visits are safe and important for pregnant women. Just make sure you let the office know you are expecting, so that they can take the appropriate measures to keep you and baby safe.

Many women also experience temporary changes in their vision during pregnancy, so be sure to let your eye doctor know that you are pregnant so they can avoid making any unnecessary changes to your prescription.

If you take any medications for depression, acne, or other health conditions make sure you have discussed them with your doctor. If you have to discontinue certain medications, your doctor may be able to suggest other ways of treating your condition. Diet, exercise, and natural treatments, such as massage, may help alleviate any issues you have.
